CUZY module license

Option A: commercial license

Grant

• The licensee may install and use the module on one HumHub installation, for its own use or for a customer, for an unlimited time.
• The licensee may adjust and change the software to its needs.
• The licensee may develop extensions (modules, themes, integrations) that use the module and distribute them under any license, including commercial ones.
• The license is transferable to another party once, with written notice to CUZY.

Restrictions

• No sub-licensing, resale or distribution of the module or of copies to third parties.
• No extraction of components for standalone use outside HumHub.
• One license per installation; multi-instance deployments need one license each or a written agreement.
• The license terminates immediately if these restrictions are breached.

Updates and support

For most modules the purchase includes twelve months of updates through the HumHub marketplace and of support; renewal at the published price extends both. Some modules are sold once with lifetime updates. A module keeps working after the update period ends. Details are in the terms of service.

Warranty

The software is provided as is; error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. CUZY corrects defects through updates or workarounds within the support period. Liability is limited as described in the terms of service.

Option B: GNU Affero General Public License v3

Every CUZY module's source code is public on GitHub. Anyone may install a module from source under the AGPL v3, free of charge, with these practical consequences:

• Installation and every update are manual: files and database migrations.
• Modified source code deployed on a server accessible to others must be made available to them, as the AGPL requires.
• No support is included; issues on GitHub are welcome.
• Donations help fund maintenance and are appreciated.
